Getting Justice for Junior

I'm sure we all are shocked about the violence that took place in the bronx last week when Local Latino gang came forward and apologized for the killing of 15-year-old Lesandro (Junior) Guzman-Feliz, told Family they thought he was someone else.

“Gang said, ‘We had the wrong person,'” Derek Grullon, Junior's brother-in-law, told the Daily News on Saturday.

Junior was murdered on Wednesday by several young gang affiliated men with machetes after getting into an argument with them outside of Cruz and Chiky Grocery on E. 183rd St. and Bathgate Ave. Sources say Junior was attacked on both sides of his neck after being pulled outside from local bodega and passed out from blood lost when he was headed to near by hospital.

Bronx residents want the store shut down because store employee's didn't attend to the Teenager or call police. Neighbors have threaten to burn down the corner store, yet family has stressed to just peacefully boycott the bodega.

“A little kid, alone with no weapon. Five men with machetes came for one little kid,” Lesandro’s mother told the Daily News. Cathy Jimenez, a family friend, stated Thursday. “He was just a 15-year-old boy who hadn’t started living. These were grown gang members.”

A GoFundMe page titled “Justice for Junior” had raised $150,000 for his family by Saturday afternoon.

Celebrities even reached out to the family and took to social media and shared there condoness.

BET's best female Hip-hop Artist of the years winner Cardi B who is also a Bronx native, donated a $8000.00 to the family’s GoFundMe page.

Cardi also expressed her feelings on Instagram and criticized authorities, stated they didn't do enough to help. She wrote: “#justiceforjunior ----These Bronx streets are ruthless .What piss me off the most is that these BX cops be harassing the shit outta people then they see a boy bleeding to death and ask what happen?"

Yankees star pitcher CC Sabathia stated on Twitter that he feels hurt by Lesandro’s death. “I’m a father of four and couldn’t imagine losing any one of my own kids,” he wrote. “The violence and hate needs to stop. There’s too much other stuff already going on in this world."  As of Sunday Most of the suspects have been arrested and is due In Court. Six of the eight suspects facing charges in connections with the murder of the teenager will be facing the Judge today in New Jersey.
